PIET VERBIST TRIO
Ik ben erg blij om een nieuw trio-project voor te stellen met een breed trio-geluid en een weids geïnspireerd samenspel.
Het trio verkent de grenzen van het trio spel op een bevrijdende manier.
Op zoek naar expressie en een diepe groove, met openheid voor elk idee dat het moment ons brengt.
Het repertoire wordt gevonden in verschillende hoeken, zowel in de traditie als in originele composities.
Ik ben erg enthousiast over de deelname van Lionel Beuvens, hij is een geweldige melodische en dynamische drummer, en Bart Borremans is inmiddels een van de meest inspirerende saxofonisten “on the scene”.

I’m very happy to announce another new trio project getting shape that creates a full-on trio sound with a broad inspired interplay, revealed and expressed in the moment, discovered and interfered by the attentive.
The trio explores the boundaries of trio playing in its most liberating ways. Looking for expression and deep groove, with an openness to any idea the moment brings us.
The repertoire is chosen from different angles, tradition as well as original compositions.
I’m very excited about the participation of Lionel Beuvens, he’s a wonderful melodic and dynamic player, and Bart Borremans is by now one of the most inspiring saxophonists on the scene.
